REGULAR TUITION

LEVEL TEST PAPER TEACHING

Regular Tuition is a weekly tuition class whereby Mdm. Chin will follow topics taught weekly by School Teachers and hence making sure that the student grasps the week's topic concept.

In an examination, each question is a combination of concepts from different topics. The student will require in-depth knowledge and the right examination techniques to handle these type of questions.

The Level Test Paper Teaching sessions are held on the following days:

  • Tuesdays or Fridays (6-8pm) at Ang Mo Kio
  • Thursdays (5-7pm) at Shenton Way
Log on to this website (http://www.scholarmaths.com.sg/) on Saturdays to view topics to be taught for the coming week.

PRINCETON SCHOLARHOUSE

SCHOLARMATHS™ EXAM REVIEW CLASSES

In lieu to better prepare students for upcoming exams, there will be additional review classes for the following levels – P6 (PSLE), Sec 4 (O-Level), JC 2 (A-Levels).

The weekly lessons help students to understand the concepts and develop important skills for the chapter. On the other hand, the additional review class is more exam-orientated, focusing on Retention & Problem Solving Skills.

Why attend the intensive review classes?

Simple – To dramatically improve your Math grade.

As an example, say that David has problems understanding his school teacher and performs badly on exams. In his weekly lesson, David gets dedicated attention to understand specific weak areas. This is a “topical” understanding, which is more than sufficient for school work, but not exams. Exams are set such that only 10% of the students get an A. Difficult questions have a mixture of concepts from more than one topic and have a unique way of solving. In a weekly class, it is impossible to use a “mixed-topic” approach as students have not learnt in advance. Furthermore, the short class time drives the focus towards understanding the concepts, over intensive problem solving.

Having reviewed more than 1000 test papers, Madam Chin understands exactly the exam focus. She knows the importance of each topic, how these topics can be inter-linked and most importantly, how to prepare for the real exam. To differentiate top students, all schools include concepts that are “out of syllabus” - not seen in class or reference books. Madam Chin is well-aware and has structured a unique database of school exam and self-made questions to encompass all possible question types. More time and effort is further spent into re-doing them to present a “this type of question, this type of skill-and-answer” approach. This guarantees to enhance the problem solving skills for every student.

Note: There will be half off the Special Class tuition fees given to those students (attending both the usual and special classes) who bring in one new enrolling student.

Please enrol before the lessons start. Please SMS your Name, Level (P6 or S4), Phone No to 91098221 to confirm the seats for March and May intake.
